Ageing processes, fluctuations in weight and massive weight loss can
produce a visible skin laxity and reduction of muscular tone of the arms creating
a batwing-like appearance . If the underside of the upper arm has developed
sagging, droopy skin or appears loose and full due to excess skin and fat, an
arm lift can be the right choice.
An arm lift results in a more toned and proportionate appearance,
enhancing the patient self-confidence.
Patients have to be well informed that the scar; placed in the inner
aspect of the arm, can be visible.
Complications:
infection, asymmetry, hypertrophic scars, skin numbness
